I Just started playing tennis at a 2.5 level about a year and a half ago and today I am on my way to a 4.0 level with the help of Dave Marshall and friends. The EXCEPTIONAL teaching staff makes it fun and rewarding. Our team actually got to play with Dave MacPhearson (Bryan Bros. coach) and Ellis Ferriero a number of times. Lite bulbs were gone off left and right and the team was highly impressed with all instruction. (The "BEST" we ever had) !! We will be back. Thank You Dave Marshall and friends!-C.M.

I just spent a week at the Dave Marshall tennis facility and I Loved it! Dave is an amazing coach. I've been take lessons from him for 25 years and I always seem to learn something new each time I see him.He has a great way of explaining things that I can understand . He is always making sure that anyone that goes there is having a good time and getting great tennis. There is lots of staff available to fill in on doubles games.The facility offers indoor and outdoor courts, a swimming pool and a health club put a hot box yoga studio. 2 grass courts will be available to play on in the fall.The ocean a short drive away.if your looking for a weekend getaway or even a week's vacation it's about a 4 hour drive from NYC. I'm going to recommend this facility to all of my customers.-C.H.

Dave and his staff provide amazing opportunities for you to advance in your tennis game. "We were fortunate to book our mini camp weekend while Dave had Ellis Ferriera-a three time Grand Slam Doubles Champion and Dave "Mac" McPherson-Coach to the Bryan Brothers-as guest instructors. I had suffered a stroke 7 weeks ago and lost some muscle memory and the patience and caring they displayed made our experience a memorable one.
Ellis, Dave and Mac kept things lively and fun. The instruction of course was top notch. Dave and his staff also were excellent in explaining the "game within the game", doubles strategies and tips to make us better tennis players in a very intense short period of time. I would highly recommend Dave's camp for any one looking to take their game to the next level."-D.D.

"Dave is personally involved with the instruction. He is an outstanding instructor. In one weekend, I learned and perfected new forehand, kick serve and slice serve. Improved backhand, forehand slice and backhand slice shots. Overall game significantly improved. Staff is great and you never have to pick up a ball! Thought I died and went to tennis heaven."-R.S.

"I attended daily stroke clinics (1 hour each) at Dave Marshall Tennis the week of 6/7/10. I enjoyed these lessons tremendously. The instructor was friendly, laid back, and gave great instruction. I heard some things I had not heard before, and I've had years of lessons. I cannot wait to use my new "tips" when I return home to play with my regular group. "Fabulous camp! The instruction is fantastic and effective. The atmosphere is fun and competitive. The staff bends over backwards to make your experience fantastic. We had several pros, hours of drills for a great price and then they offered to let us play for longer at no extra charge. They provide drinks, snacks and T-shirts and we never picked up a ball. They scoop them up with their ball machine! All we needed was a masseuse and it could have been tennis heaven."-C.K.

This was the best experience ever. We all loved it and can't wait to come back! The customer service was unbelievable.......complete with an escort to surf bagel. You guys couldn't do enough for us.......

I can't believe we never had to pick up a ball, were treated to beer, gatorade, granola bars, fruit etc. It was unbelievable to us that we were treated like real pros!! You may as well have given us a ball boy! It was the best experience. And the music playing in the background while we were playing tennis in the sunshine........are you kidding me??? All we needed is a massage therapist and we would have been in tennis heaven!

In the immortal words of John MacEnroe - You can not be serious! This is not Switzerland, this is not Florida, this is not Arizona, this is lower DELAWARE, a short drive from my apartment in NYC and suddenly I'm experiencing a US Open caliber tennis event?
I already knew that Dave Marshall and staff are fantastic, but throw in Ellis Ferreira and Dave MacPherson and I'm beyond being blown away. I learned more in one day from you guys than in years from my local pro.
On a par with the clinics was the mid-day exhibition. 3 complete sets with Marshall and MacPherson against Ferreira and James Pack. I don't remember the scores, but I do remember the contest was awesome and at a level I could never dream of achieving. James was one of our coaches during the morning session and we all loved him. When we learned he was just entering college and had hit his first tennis ball with Dave Marshall at the age of 3, and now he's competing at this superstar level - just too much to fathom.
Dave, in the immortal words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, I'll be back!

We had such a fun experience during our first weekend with Dave Marshall and his team! My husband and I got more out of our weekend than we have from any other tennis camp. You kept our group of 12 busy with new drills and techniques. The team of coaches gave us the individual support needed to be able to bring the skills back home and use in our matches. The Lewes/Rehobeth area was easy to get to and added to the weekend. I look forward to coming back again!

I always have a great time at Dave Marshall's tennis camp. This was the 5th year and we intend to return next year. I always learn at least two new ways to play and it improved and continues to improve my tennis game which makes tennis a lot more fun. I only hope we can come up with a better way of getting a place to stay. Thanks for a great time. I love your staff.

Thanks for a great weekend! I wrote down many of the insights and lesson on the drive back to PA. My right hand was a bit sore today from that new grip Tom and I am sure that is to be expected. I am looking forward to my first USTA match tomorrow. I already think I talked one set a gals to book a trip down soon.
Hopefully I will have plenty of time this summer to practice my new strokes and strategy and will plan a trip back out in the fall.

Dave, that was the best clinic I ever attended! I learned so much!
As always, I appreciate the way that you communicate skills on the court. Your explanation, drills, and demonstrations always make more sense to me than anyone else. Thanks especially for driving home to "step at the net when the server looks down" point. It was such a revelation, and I know that it will make a big difference in my poach potential.
I always raise my level of play after I come to a clinic with you and your instructors. I also really got alot out of Ellis' coaching. It was such a treat to work with him! BTW, in addition to Steven and Tom, whom I respect greatly, I also think that Turtle is an awesome instructor. It was my first time working with her, and she taught me a whole new shot, the backhand lob.
Thanks again for a superb time! Remember, if you need a favor in Wilmington, I'm your person."

All of us thoroughly enjoyed our tennis clinic. We are anxious to get together and drill what we learned! And we are anxious to see how we play against the other teams this year. The word that came to my mind when describing the tennis instruction was phenomenal. I have played tennis for many years, with various instructional experiences- this was definitely superior- informative, personable instruction- the perfect combination of teaching talent- knowledge, enthusiasm and joy for the game; and the willingness and ability of each instructor to share/explain their knowledge.
So I to say thank you!!

To all the staff at Dave Marshall Tennis Academies:
The 8 of us could not have asked for a better experience. We learned so much that our only suggestion is to supply us with a cheat sheet to take home to remind us of everything - Just 1 line about each of the clinics/drills we did. We have not been playing well lately & the instruction at the academy was exactly what we needed. I have been attending Dave's camps for 5 years - initially as a 3.0 player. This year I am excited to compete at the USTA 4.0 level. My partner and I have had the privilege of attending these camps together for 5 years. We have catch phrases on the court to help remind us of what we learn at Dave's camps - like It's flooding in Kansas then we crack up - it keeps us loose on the court.
I want to thank Dave, Steve, Turtle, Tom, Casey, Skip, Larry... and all the staff that provided us with a fun yet fabulous learning experience. We will see you in June & probably again in October.
Dave's camp should be labeled a "Consumer report Best Value".

Great clinic weekend. Loved the humor, the new drills, especially the one Dave did (short feeds, back & forth, some deep, some short), good tips from Tom. ... Loved the whole weekend, great music, too. Thanks, Dave, Tom, James (great attitude! & very fun!) & Casey.

My experience at the Dave Marshall Academy was informative and enjoyable. Dave, Tom, Casey and Jordan did an excellent job of reinforcing our tennis strengths and positively making changes to our weaker areas. The mental aspect of finding out our opponents password was explained in a way that is so easy to remember and put into actino. Always remembering that it's a game of errors and not necessarily having to win every point helped me to relax on the court. Also studying your opponent (and what they're not wiled about) rather than focusing on what you're doing wrong helps to force those errors (hopefully!). Thank you for a great weekend. Look forward to next year!
